How to avoid Attacks as an Uber driver?

It might not happen very often but it is better to always be prepared as the growing rate of uber attacks is increasing.

 Verify The Rider

Always verify the customer you are picking up before allowing anyone to sit in the car. Besides asking questions you can use the Uber app for identification. Uber now allows uploading the rider’s photo ID.

Stay in the Car

You are always safer inside the car, never let yourself be fooled by the customers helping voice. Even if they ask you to grab a drink with them in a friendly way.

Keep riders in the back seats

If there is space in your back seats always ask your customers to sit in the back seats. For safety concerns, you might not know what he has with him or his intentions, better to keep a distance.

What can be done to stop the Uber driver attacks?

We can not control the violence 100 percent but what we can do is implement certain rules for the customers as well as the uber drivers to protect both the parties.   Signing up for strict punishments for one breaking laws can help create fear from which one must prevent themselves to get punished.   Finning the faulty as compensation to the driver is a running rule in the United States but in a few states due to lack of evidence and negligence few cases go blind and no fair justice is given which promotes future violence.   Placing cameras in every Uber car might help in better investigations in these cases. This might also prevent the customer to misbehave as he would not film himself doing something embarrassing.
