According to Game Informer, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said these three titles are currently planned as cross-generational titles, meaning they’ll be developed not just for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but also for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Scarlett.
Guillemot also mentioned there are two unannounced, cross-gen titles in the works and said players will notice distinct improvements in gameplay on next-gen consoles:
The titles mentioned are in keeping with Sony’s stated intent for the PlayStation 5 and its audience. This isn’t entirely unexpected, given the many times Sony has already said cross-gen play is important for its upcoming console.
You will be able to download new content a lot faster, players will experience better framerates there are lots of very good elements that will come with these new machines.
Since Beyond Good and Evil 2 is, obviously, an announced title, we can reasonably conclude it’s still planned for a current-gen only release — whenever that might be. Though cross-gen isn’t out of the question, it’s simply a matter of how far along the project is.
Fill some of that time waiting time by checking out what we know about the PlayStation 5 so far, including its anticipated release date, and the scanty nuggets known about Xbox Scarlett.
