HTC today announced that it has started rolling out the Android 4.4 KitKat update for the HTC One for the unlocked and developer variants in the United States. The update comes less than a week after the Google Play edition One was updated to the latest version of Android.
— HTC USA (@HTCUSA) November 29, 2013 At the moment, no official change-log is available for the update. However, considering that most changes in Android 4.4 KitKat were under the hood or related to the Nexus devices, One owners should not expect a lot of new goodies. It is nice to see the likes of Motorola and HTC update their flagship handsets to the latest version of Android in such a short period of time. With the update rolling out, HTC has also managed to keep its promise of updating the Sense variant of the One with KitKat within 30 days of the OS being released. Got the developer edition or unlocked variant of the HTC One? It’s time to start hammering that Update now button!
